About Our Client:

Our client, a notable private equity firm, seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a key portfolio company within the manufacturing sector. This pivotal role is instrumental in steering financial strategy, enhancing operational efficiencies, and propelling long-term growth.

Position Overview:

The CFO will spearhead the financial and strategic leadership of the company, utilizing deep industry knowledge to drive financial operations, optimize performance, and champion strategic initiatives. This role demands a proactive leader adept at managing the intricacies of a PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and align financial strategy with the company’s business objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory mandates.
  • Strategically advise on mergers, acquisitions, and growth opportunities.
  • Optimize financial health through cash management, working capital, and capital structure adjustments.
  • Establish and uphold strong internal controls and financial systems.
  • Collaborate with other executives to enhance operational efficiencies and profitability.
  • Drive business development and expansion efforts.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, including the private equity sponsors.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team to cultivate a culture of high performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated success as a CFO or in a similar senior financial role within a PE-backed environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing industry’s operations and market challenges.
  • Outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and thriving under pressure.

Location and Travel Expectations:

  • Candidates must currently reside in any major metro market in the US.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% monthly between company locations and for stakeholder meetings is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $275,000 to $325,000 per year, based on experience.
