Job Details
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, reliable professional to take on a key role within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our company's payroll system and ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Supervising the payroll team to ensure all payroll processes are executed accurately and on time
- Overseeing the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
- Managing payroll taxes and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and filing requirements
- Collaborating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any payroll related inquiries from employees
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the payroll process
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll role
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to payroll and payroll taxes
