The Mechanical Construction Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of mechanical construction projects. This role involves managing project teams, budgets, and schedules while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Development:

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to define project objectives and specifications.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage project teams, including mechanical engineers, field personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment through effective communication and support.

Execution and Oversight:

  • Oversee all aspects of mechanical construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and change orders.
  • Review and approve contractor invoices and manage financial reporting.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all work meets industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and present project updates, progress reports, and documentation to management.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and address any safety concerns on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and relevant construction practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are preferred.
