SALARY: $125,000-$150,000

POSITION PURPOSE: Assist and collaborates with financial and operations teams to create a financial plan, strategies, and financial reports for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following-other duties may be assigned.

1) Assist the accounting leadership team in the direction of the accounting functions of the organization.

2) Assist the accounting leadership team in preparation and accuracy of the consolidated GAAP financial statements.

3) Assist the accounting leadership team in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information to file tax returns.

4) Supports and assists accounting department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, tax planning and others.

5) Ensures timely month-end and year-end close, oversees day-to-day tasks in the accounting department

6) Manages and reviews multi-entity trial balances in accrual and cash basis

7) Manages and reviews monthly financial statements for multiple entities

8) Reviews and/or prepares journal entries and account reconciliations.

9) Reviews and approves all accounts payable payment runs.

10) Reviews and approves cash receipts, income charges and weekly cash reports

11) Oversees the monthly inter-company billing cycles

12) Manages and reviews interest calculations on internal & external loans

13) Manage and review duties related to fixed assets (acquisitions, dispositions, depreciation, property tax returns, etc.

14) Analyzes and reviews general ledgers for unusual items or incorrect postings

15) Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and improved processes.

16) Manage and supervisor accounting team, providing necessary support/tools to staff to assist them in developing, implementing, and executing all events/activities with a high degree of quality.

17) Reviews and approves employee timecards and time-off requests

18) Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

19) Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

20) Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 6+ years of related experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience

• CPA license or Progress towards CPA certification is a plus

• Experience with public accounting is preferred, in areas of audit and/or tax.

• Ability to apply knowledge of cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

• Ability to commute to Huron four – six days a month.

• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.

• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with database, accounting software and spreadsheets.

• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills, i.e. the ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization as well as member/owners and external stakeholders.

• Proven management skills including planning, supervision, mentoring, and coaching.

• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts.

• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.

• Attention to detail: high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Must be able to complete projects in a timely manner and consistently meet deadlines.

• Ability to perform tasks with a high level of confidentiality.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and provide recommendation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical influence. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to read and interpret instructions.
