Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of loads
- Pushing trucks off the yard at designated times
- Communicating with GM for assignments and improvements
- Managing drivers, approving time worked, reassigning drivers as needed throughout the day while working with Human Resources on driver’s hours.
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers
- Upkeep of shop and truck yard
- Ensuring all DOT regulations are met
- Planning and dispatching heavy hauls. Purchasing appropriate permits
- Ensure on-time delivery of product/machinery to customers
- Will work with sister companies
- Route trucks efficiently
- Making sure all trucks have proper up-to-date paperwork.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in trucking and dispatch functions
- Class A CDL with experience preferred
- Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads and documentation is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Enterprise Computer Applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- 2+ years of management experience preferred.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 5 AM - 5 PM
