Duration: 12+ months

Work hours: 8AM 5PM (Monday through Friday)

PAY: $90/Hr to $110/HR

Job Responsibilities:

One systems administrator / analyst is being solicited by TDI to perform work on server infrastructure projects to serve the business needs of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). Emphasis of work performed shall be Azure/Office 365, Windows and Unix server administration. The work will include, but is not limited to, OS and application builds, hardening (security vulnerabilities), configurations, scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting. Work will require familiarity with RedHat Linux, IBM AIX, WebSphere, Windows AD, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Office 365 in the government cloud environment. Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation. The worker should have a strong knowledge of and automating task using PowerShell scripts. The contract staff shall work on a project within a support team, participating in regular meetings, work sessions, and interactions with the business owners, technical staff, and vendors. They should be a self-starter with experience working in a virtual collaborative setting with multiple teams and tasks. The worker should possess strong written and oral presentation skills, with abilities to help present work done and prepare training when needed. This work may also include other support projects as determined by time available and remaining in contract. All project work will include change management workflows, business processes, and other requirements in support of TDI s server and infrastructure efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8yrs Required Working on Windows system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation.
• 5 Required Microsoft PowerShell scripting experience.
• 5 Required Troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to implementation or maintenance of system software and operating systems.
• 5 Required Testing systems and/or applications to ensure user and functional requirements are met.
• 5 Required SharePoint Online administration, configuration, and support experience.
• 3 Required Using Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tool to communicate and work within a team.
• 3 Required Working on Microsoft 365 / Azure administration with Hybrid joined domain model.
• 3 Required Working on Microsoft Power Platform to include Power Automate, PowerApps and PowerBI.
• 5 Preferred Working on Unix system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation.
• 5 Preferred Remediation of security vulnerabilities on Windows servers.
• 5 Preferred Writing technical and user documentation for system applications.
• 5 Preferred Automate daily system admin process using scripting.
• 3 Preferred Microsoft SharePoint site planning, design, and implementation
• 3 Preferred Experience using 3rd party SharePoint management and reporting tools.
• 3 Preferred Experience with creating system usage and reporting dashboards.
• 2 Preferred Working as a systems analyst or security administrator in direct support of a State agency in the Texas State Data Center environment.
• 2 Preferred Working as a systems analyst or security administrator in the Microsoft 365 government tenant for a Texas State agency.
