About this role:

Wells Fargo Finance Technology is looking for a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to facilitate communication between product teams and the technical organization. This role involves analyzing intricate corporate-wide business challenges and devising solutions using automated systems. In this role, you will:
  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Applies knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future.
  • Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Participates in transforming strategic enterprise architecture and design principles into specific system requirements and specifications. Recommends and initiates systems testing.
  • Acts as the highest-level internal consultant within technology and business groups by re-engineering technical processes for greater efficiencies with significant impact to the business.
  • Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff. Immediate focus areas of this position will include but not limited to the following:
  • Collaborates and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategy, align appropriate technology strategy, and collaborate to accomplish mission critical initiatives.
  • Communicates change effectively with treasury, finance, and various risk groups.
  • Exhibits practical communication style to converse with vendors, internal technical professionals, and senior/executive leadership.
  • Ensures projects impacting the technology stack are properly scoped and executed to meet business objectives while making sure all projects are on target and on budget.
  • Collaborates with internal business and technical partner teams to improve effectiveness of delivery and reduce/eliminate inefficiencies
  • Optimizes development, testing/verification, and development processes for the delivery team.
  • Maintains strong risk and security compliance for the application portfolio.
  • Develops team members through individual development plans; identify skills and competencies for development (or leveraging strengths).

  • Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
  • Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions
  • Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems
  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ Years of Auto Loan Securitization (or other assets class) experience
  • 5+ Experience managing a project team throughout the entire project life cycle from problem definition, requirement definition, design, and testing and implementation.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ Experience creating reports in response to management, audit, or regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with Corporate Finance and the Project Management Office (PMO) on effective 2+ forecasting and budget management of projects or initiatives
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience creating reports in response to management, audit, or regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing a project team throughout the entire project life cycle from problem definition, requirement definition, design, and testing and implementation
  • Experience working with Corporate Finance and the Project Management Office (PMO) on effective forecasting and budget management of projects or initiatives
  • Experience in product management, business analysis, marketing, operations and/or strategic/consulting in a consumer oriented, technology dependent environment, in financial services or related industries

Pay is between $96,600 and $171,800 for Charlotte NC depending on experience and expertise.
