Senior Business Analyst with Life Insurance Domain Experience Job Location: Remote

Duration: Long term Contract

  • Develops, validates, documents, and maintains business and functional requirements and conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members.
  • Partner with business users to identify and implement process automation opportunities that leverage self service capabilities such as Alteryx, Tableau, etc. that result in increased quality and service. o Serves as the main point of contact for business users, facilitating meetings, presenting findings, and ensuring effective communication between business and IT teams.
  • Assists in the development and execution of test plans, works with QA teams to ensure system changes meet business needs and are function correctly.
  • Supports the project management team by providing business analysis expertise during the development, testing, and implementation phases of IT projects.
  • Works with project teams to support requirements gathering.
  • Analyzes data in support of improving data quality. o works with the business to identify data issues and identify potential solutions. o proactively works to identify ways to improve data quality through business rules automation.
  • Evaluates business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options.
  • May lead acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met.
  • Responds to questions from business and IT teams.
  • Evaluates and tracks new or enhanced solutions to determine potential issues and communicates how problems may affect business and recommends solutions.
  • Participates in change management activities, Q&A testing, troubleshooting, and investigation.
  • Performs task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service.
  • LOMA Certification would be an asset.
  • Experience with self-service data tools/Programming language: Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, ETL, SQL, etc. would be highly desired.

Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • 5-7 years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Data Analysis, etc.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
  • Advanced data analysis skills.
  • Advanced investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and participate in department/team projects.
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.
  • Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions.
  • Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
  • General business knowledge
  • 2+ years Life Insurance industry knowledge is mandatory
