Overview:

Our client, a technology company, is building out a new QA team to support a brand new platform build and they are seeking a QA Manager with Selenium Automation skills.

This position is 100% remote but candidates must be commutable to Conshohocken, PA, Marlton, NJ or Dallas, TX for monthly travel. This is a contract to hire position.

Job Summary:

The Software QA Automation Manager will be responsible for delivering a complete automation test framework. Will build a solid automation QA strategy for delivering highest quality product releases. Will provide leadership to the test automation team and be responsible for designing and developing automated test solutions, create and maintain test automation framework, and develop and execute automated test scripts. This position requires 6-8 years total hands-on experience, including 5 years leading SDLC compliant on-shore and off-shore QA test automation teams. The position is also responsible for creation, execution, and maintenance of test automation scripts, and creation of reporting metrics associated with the automation tests.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance test automation including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
  • Responsible for the development of an efficient test automation framework, standards, and procedures
  • Constantly evaluate and enhance automation strategy, standards, technologies, and approaches to identify areas of improvements
  • Manage the daily/weekly activities of the Test Automation team members and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Conduct interviews and support the onboarding of FTE and contractor team members
  • Provides leadership and oversight in creating and maintaining quality assurance validation and IT department processes including standard operating procedures, working practices and guidelines
  • Work with other IT groups to set up automation suites in CI/CD environment
  • Hands on to design, develop and implement automated test suites
  • Interpret test results and diagnose coding issues
  • Work closely with QA cross functional teams, subject matter experts and development to understand the product and its architecture
  • Deliver solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational guardrails
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT services
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more industry standard programming or scripting languages; C#, python, java, javascript;
  • Experience performing test automation in a continuous integration environment.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Experience executing SQL queries and testing database tables a plus
  • Experience with integration automation framework Selenium and Jenkins
  • Good understanding UNIX command and shell scripting
  • Good understanding of cross browser testing, compatibility testing and mobile device testing experience on Web applications.
  • Experience developing API automated testing solutions using selenium, Junit, SoapUI, TestNG and Jmeter
  • Experience and good understanding with Eclipse, Java, XML, SOAP/XML, HTTP, HTTPS etc.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team and with internal business and technology partners
  • Previous experience in Mortgage Banking and/or associated lines of business is highly preferred
