Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Postgres SME and SQL Tuning Expert to join our team to assist a Client migration from Oracle database to Postgres. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Postgres database administration and performance management. The Postgres SME will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, security, and optimization of client s database systems to support organization's data management goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance Postgres database environments
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
Implement database security best practices and ensure data integrity
Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions
Manage database backups and recovery procedures
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Postgres database technology
Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Postgres database administrator or SME
Expert in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming and performance tuning
Advanced knowledge of Postgres database administration, including configuration, tuning, and monitoring
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Relevant certifications (e.g., PostgreSQL Certified Professional) a plus
