Duration: 6-months+

Location: New York City (Manhattan) - Hybrid role (up to 3 days/week onsite)

Join our dynamic team in New York City as a Senior Business Data Analyst (hybrid, up to 3 days per week in-office). This role plays a critical part in supporting our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) efforts by driving the execution of data governance policies and ensuring the accuracy and quality of risk-related data.

Key Responsibilities Senior Business Data Analyst:

  • Lead the implementation of data governance strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with data consumers and business units to address and remediate data quality issues.
  • Document data flows, processes, and procedures to improve data accuracy and reduce risk.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements, utilizing approved tools and solutions.
  • Support the consolidation of critical data insights and ensure data transparency across operational and analytic platforms.
  • Partner with internal teams to assess the current state of the company’s information infrastructure.
  • Manage change initiatives related to data governance and ensure alignment with overall data management strategies.
  • Drive a cultural shift towards data ownership and promote data as a critical business asset.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations through clear presentations to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications of Senior Business Data Analyst:

  • 6-8 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis, with 5+ years focused on data analysis and governance.
  • Proven background in banking or financial services, with a strong understanding of data quality initiatives, technology solutions, and issue management.
  • Expertise in data management processes, including process mapping, data lineage, and governance toolsets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, flowcharting, and data analysis tools.
