Job Description:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and completing balance sheet reconciliations. You will also ensure timely and accurate filing of sales and use taxes. This role requires hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Great Plains, to efficiently manage and monitor financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.

• Handle sales and use tax filings, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

• Manage general ledger entries, ensuring proper recording and classification of financial transactions.

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.

• Analyze financial data and provide reports to management for decision-making and compliance purposes.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper flow of financial information.

• Utilize ERP systems, especially Great Plains, for accounting processes, including report generation and data management.

Qualifications:

• Required:

o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

o 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

o Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Great Plains.

o Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR processes, and general ledger functions.

o Familiarity with sales and use tax filings.

o Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

o Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred:

o Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.

o Strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis.

o Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
