Better Car People, now partnered with Proactive Dealer Solutions, is looking for a highly motivated Performance Coach Training Manager (PCTM) to lead, inspire, and grow a team of Performance Coaches.

As a Performance Coach Training Manager, you will manage a team of 8-12 Performance Coaches, supporting approximately 48 dealership accounts. You will act as a key liaison between PDS management, dealership leadership, and the PDS Performance Coaches to ensure the successful execution of strategies, training, and dealership performance improvements.

You’ll play an active role in coaching, training, and driving accountability for your team while being involved in the hands-on management of onsite visits, ongoing performance reviews, and facilitating communication across multiple teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure your team drives impact during onsite visits and participate in account calls when appropriate.
  • Oversee the achievement of TMNA program deliverables and objectives.
  • Facilitate timely and high-quality Executive Summary Calls.
  • Communicate strategies to Pre-Launch/Launch/Sustainment PCs, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Ensure team adherence to PDS processes and high service standards.
  • Guide PCs in positioning PDS training solutions, aligned with TMNA Program objectives.
  • Identify training and development opportunities for your team and collaborate with the Training Manager/Program Director to implement necessary training.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to PCs, fostering their development and success.
  • Reinforce company directives and drive PC performance improvements.
  • Work with Program Director, AMs, and the Training team to address PC areas of opportunity.
  • Evangelize dealership technology tools like SmartPath, BDC Central, and Salesforce.
  • Drive sales of PDS products and services, such as Brooke.ai software.
  • Liaise between PC and AM teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Escalate account issues to the office in a timely manner.

Weekly Tasks

  • Meet with the OEM Program Director to discuss team issues and non-compliance.
  • Conduct weekly team calls to relay PDS directives, program updates, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Have one-on-one calls with team members to review and coach on ongoing issues, strategize for upcoming visits, and ensure timely issue escalation.
  • Provide ongoing coaching for underperforming PCs and review deliverables for quality and timely execution (action plans, recap emails, visit calendar invites, etc.).
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication with dealers, eComm Managers, Launch Leads, and Project Managers.

Monthly Tasks

  • Conduct monthly one-on-one coaching sessions to assess team development and review data provided by the Program Director.
  • Prepare and communicate TMNA store program metrics to the Program Director as required.

Quarterly Tasks

  • Conduct PC performance reviews and develop targeted training and development plans based on office templates and assessments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a management or coaching role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Knowledge of Business Development Centers (BDC) and dealership operations.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Google Suite, and modern dealership technology solutions.
  • Ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
