This role is responsible for strategically scaling a digital media network within the retail store environment and establishing the required infrastructure to support the business. This includes developing process, guidelines, cross-functional work streams, design intent, support, content distribution, performance analysis, and metrics. The ideal candidate will lead a team dedicated to creating, supporting and deploying digital content for all Dick’s Sporting Goods banners. This team will ensure content placement strategy and supply is provided to the Dick’s Media Network (DMN) and other cross-functional businesses to ensure the media network is fully utilized. The Director of Dick’s Media Network - Physical Retail Integration will also oversee third party resources and agencies that provide content management, production & editing, display design, measurement software & analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a Store Environment Support Team

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of digital content across all stores.
  • Align digital content and supply plans with the sales strategies of the Retail Media Network.
  • Develop and implement placement strategies for devices and displays in stores.
  • Oversee third-party vendors supporting design, maintenance, and content distribution.
  • Track and report on key metrics to business stakeholders.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build short- and long-term network growth strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams including DMN, Marketing, Tech, E-commerce, and Merchandising.
  • Develop roadmaps and prioritize workstreams to support in-store digital network growth.
  • Engage third-party resources to foster innovation within the in-store network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as CRM, Planning, and Brand Merchandising to create confidence in digital vendor investments.

3. Act as a Champion of Change

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal leaders and stakeholders to identify revenue growth and digital display opportunities.
  • Cultivate partnerships with current and potential vendors to drive year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Develop action plans for enhancing the design and placement of digital content to optimize in-store storytelling.

4. Manage and Expand Client Services

  • Design strategies for onboarding vendor partners into the Retail Media Network.
  • Incorporate insights from cross-functional teams to optimize client services.
  • Evaluate market trends and competitive intelligence to improve digital infrastructure and design.

5. Develop Talent and Teammate Engagement

  • Build and manage a high-performing team, applying diverse skills to achieve common goals.
  • Provide regular feedback to support teammate development and career growth.
  • Develop succession plans and align talent strategies with organizational goals.
  • Drive engagement by fostering a culture where employees are motivated to contribute to the organization's success.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience, preferably in digital media, retail, or technology-related roles.

Technological Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Business acumen and in-depth analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive results.
  • Ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
