Location: West Chester, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2-3 days in office, 2-3 days in OR, 8:00am-4:00.

The Physician Assistant Essential Duties And Functions

  • Obtaining patient information and perform assessments.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
  • Handles paperwork for pre-operative visits, sees patients for post-operative care, and administers Viscosupplementation injections.
  • Consult directly with physician to assess the patient's condition and treatment options.
  • Ensure that medical charts and administrative paperwork is updated/completed.
  • Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
  • Monitor patients and administers medications according to division policy.
  • Serve as Surgical First Assist in OR and ASCs.

The Physician Assistant Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred. New graduates with an interest in spine surgery encouraged to apply.
  • Unrestricted Pennsylvania License.
  • Graduate of accredited program for Physician Assistant required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Athena or other EMR proficiency highly preferred.
