About The Role
As a Photographer at Bonhams, you will report to the Director of Photography, US, capturing images for our catalogues and website. Your responsibilities include studio photography, post-production, file management, and uploading images to our database. Additionally, you will manage photo lists, liaise with art handlers and specialists, and consistently meet deadlines.

About The Role
As a Photographer at Bonhams, you will report to the Director of Photography, US, capturing images for our catalogues and website. Your responsibilities include studio photography, post-production, file management, and uploading images to our database. Additionally, you will manage photo lists, liaise with art handlers and specialists, and consistently meet deadlines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Photograph property for website, catalogues, and ads
- Adhere to department standards and best practices for various sale categories
- Manage photography deadlines effectively
- Occasionally shoot at off-site locations and be prepared to travel as needed
- Maintain and organize photography equipment and studio sets
- Work in various studios, ensuring the safe handling of equipment and property
- Process and manage files efficiently
- Upload files to our company database
- Create and update photo lists as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional studio experience
- Proficiency in photographing a diverse range of property, including but not limited to 2D and 3D artworks, furniture, and tabletop items
- Experience using Capture One, Phocus, and Adobe Photoshop
- Passion for photography and dedication to staying updated with industry trends
- Strong multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs and engage in physical tasks throughout the workday
- Excellent prioritization skills and flexibility to consistently meet deadlines
- Comfortable working with Mac platforms and skilled in file management systems
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Knowledge of studio lighting techniques and catalog photography
- Familiarity with Phase One and Hasselblad systems
