The Payroll Specialist is a member of the Accounting Department, whose function is to efficiently process Labor Distribution and prepare and process payroll for the Company.

Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Collects, organizes and verifies all Payroll related information for accuracy
  • Coordinates with Human Resources regarding any changes (new hires, terminations, Change of Status, etc.) and keeps a Payroll file on each employee
  • Processes Payroll, Bonuses, Leave Payouts, Deductions, Garnishments, Child Support, SCA, etc. in compliance with Company policies
  • Assist all employees with general payroll questions and educate as needed based on Company policies
  • Process Labor Distribution in conjunction with each payroll cycle, and processes timecard corrections as needed in a timely manner.
  • Generate Payroll and Labor Distribution reports for Accounting Department as needed
  • Works with HR, Contracts, Program Control, and Billings departments
  • Adheres to all policies and maintains a high standard of confidentiality due to the nature of information


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the Payroll field, 3-5 years minimum requirement
  • BS Degree required in the Accounting or Finance discipline
  • Deltek's Costpoint experience is critical
  • Knowledge of HR Benefit and taxability is critical
  • Must be organized and detail oriented, and able to multi-task
