Description

The Military Family Life Counseling Program (MFLC) is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who will design, deploy, and maintain our computing environments in support of our in-house developed applications and business intelligence and analytics operations. This position will work with developers and analysts to implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building, deploying, and monitoring environments in AWS.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize our AWS infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated processes using Go, Python, or Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to implement solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and reliability.
  • Assist in capacity planning and cost optimization of AWS resources.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and processes.
  • Managing backup and recovery.
  • Risk management - SWOT Analysis.

Basic Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have strong proficiency in AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, RDS, and networking.
  • Must have strong proficiency with network fundamentals (routing, stateless, and stateful firewalls).
  • Some experience with Go, Python, Kotlin, or any other programming language.
  • Must have proficiency with Linux - RHEL and Amazon Linux.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and trade-offs.
  • Knowledge of OSI Model Layers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with other AWS services such as Lambda or EMR
  • Familiarity with Message Queues and Caching with Redis.
  • Experience implementing telemetry collection and environment monitoring.
  • Experience maintaining infrastructure for high-availability services
  • Experience with Build Server(CI/CD) and Blue/Green deployments.
  • Experience designing infrastructure needs for big data technologies
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline development
  • Experience with SELinux enforcing and creating policy rules.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
