Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Three to five years accounting experience
CPA certificate preferred
Understanding of accounting processes and procedures
Familiar with spreadsheet and computer applications
Ability to work with minimal supervision

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions.

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting for organizations receiving Special Revenue Funds.
- Responsible for preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards for annual audit.
- Provide accounting assistance to campuses and departments.
- Prepare monthly accounting entries.
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual account analysis.
- Assist in preparation and submission of actual financial PEIMS submission (032) records.
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
- Prepare schedules for the annual audit.
- Review expenditure reporting for all grants.
- Prepare IMA reconciliation between state’s report and general ledger.
- Monitor maintenance of effort and excess cost calculations.
- Review journal entries submitted by campuses and departments for accuracy.
- Assist the payroll department in TRS filings and calculations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Accounting.
