  • Job DescriptionMobile Communications (MCA) specializes in 4 major telecommunications categories- LMR (Land Mobile Radio, IBS (in building systems, IDAS), ITS (Intelligent transportation systems), and Physical Security
  • MCA has a number of In building projects that they will work on over the next few years, this includes the construction and maintenance of in building wireless access points. They are currently supporting projects in the Federal, State and Local government, and education, transportation, and healthcare field. They have done work with Johns Hopkins, WAMATA, BWI, Ronald Regan Building, and Baltimore Subway systems.
  • MCA is looking for a Lead Technician that has had 2+ years of experience specific within the wireless space. They will be supporting MCA customers that are tied into the AT&T network. This person must have low volt coax install, testing, troubleshooting, rack and stacking, dressing and labeling experience. They should also have fiber experience. They will be working with AT&T network teams to help problem solve and resolve any network outages. They would also like this technician to be able to train other technicians in the field. This will allow the MCA team to expand.
  • If they have experience supporting AT&T networks that would be ideal. If they have experience working with other carriers in a central office environment that wil also work. If they also have radio installation experience and troubleshooting, that will also transfer well to this team.
  • DAS experience is nice but not a must for this role. If they have worked with 1/2" coax, OEM's like: Corning, Commscope, SOLiD, ADRF, Mobile Access...etc
  • There will be a 40 hour work week.
  • The teams main office is located in Timonium Maryland, however jobs are aligned based off of where the technician is located. The lead may need to travel further distances as they have a heavy amount of projects in Washington DC.

  • Work EnvironmentMonday-Friday position and the shift varies based on the project but right now it is 6AM-2:30PM. Two or Five man crews.
  • They will have to be comfortable working on ladders and with commercial/hospital/government/public safety environments. The lead will needs to be client facing and comfortable coaching and training technicians on the team.
  • Business Drivers/Customer ImpactMCA needs to deliver for AT&T and various other customers. If they successfully deliver on this project and it doesn't take away from the other customers. MCA will continue to expand and win more projects.

Looking for someone with .5" coax, cat6, WAP's, and fiber optic cabling.
