Position Summary

The Business Development Rep is responsible for identifying potential business of "new" accounts utilizing the entire Hensley portfolio (ABI, craft, draft, spirits, wine, and N/A), in addition, assigning accounts to the respective area manager for follow-up of sales initiatives specific to each account. This includes both new Licensed accounts as well as non-buy accounts .

Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to open new On-premise accounts and to assess accounts product potential needs and establish a Hensley contact.
  • Creates sales and sampling presentations based on the opportunity of the establishment and potential sales distribution (Draft & package)
  • Works with new and existing accounts (if opening multiple locations) to increase and maintain package and draft distribution.
  • Completes new account application to open an account with Hensley.
  • Capable of public speaking to a variety of groups to educate staff on suggested brands.
  • Recommendations of business portfolio and strategies to meet retailer and consumer needs and emphasizes selling points of all products.
  • Responsible for calling on and creating sales programs utilizing the entire Hensley portfolio with current and potential local chain accounts monthly and/or quarterly.
  • Manages annual expense budget set forth by management
  • Completes monthly tracking report of BDR activity in conjunction with equity agreement qualifications
  • Knows abides by and carries out all state and federal laws, as well as company policies, pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages.

  • Respond effectively to retailers' inquiries.
  • Ability to present information to customers and organizations personnel in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Must remain cognizant of market conditions with regards to every channel of the Hensley portfolio, categories include ABI portfolio, craft portfolio, draft portfolio, spirits and wine portfolio along with n/a portfolio
