Job Title: Research Analyst - Cell Biology
Job Description
Join the Discovery In Vitro Screening Team (DMPK) and engage in cutting-edge cell biology research. You will primarily work in a chemistry lab, focusing on in-vitro studies using test tubes to generate data and identify trends in biological samples. As a Research Analyst, you will handle both animal and human biological samples, including plasma, blood, urine, and feces. Your responsibilities will include processing samples, performing basic wet chemistry techniques, maintaining and growing cell lines, and operating advanced equipment such as Mass Spectrometry. You will conduct comprehensive studies from start to finish, including seeding cells onto assay plates, harvesting plates, and running extractions. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with tasks varying from data analysis to running assays.

This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin.
Work Environment
Busy lab environment within the Metabolism In-vitro team. The metabolism team collaborates closely with the in-life team, with a more immediate work forecast of 6-8 weeks. This role is part of a contingent workforce aimed at managing the workload effectively.

Hard Skills
- B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related Life Science degree
- Tissue culture/cell culture
- Aseptic technique/sterile technique
- Basic wet chemistry techniques (pipetting, cell counting, centrifuge)
- Operating Mass Spectrometry
- Analytical techniques (plate reader, LC-MS, radio reader compounds)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
