Our top-tier client is looking for an Electrical Engineering Consultant with 2-3 years experience in Power Systems.

Assisting MAS Engineers (MOD Administrators) with network model data handling in MOD.
Formatting data received from TOs into PSS/E compatible automation files with the required modeling conventions.
Updating the NE model in MOD.
Creating MOD Basecases for Transmission Owners, MMWG.
Updating generation profiles by collating data from various sources and establishing a mapping between resources, assets, Bus Numbers and uploading data (contingencies, project data, load profiles and resource data) to the BaseCase Database and managing it.

Primary Responsibilities:

Uploading the above-mentioned data to MOD and the BaseCase Database and maintance.
Assisting PSMM-MAS Engineers with routine data-intensive tasks related to steady state, stability, short circuit adn GMS cases.
Performing preliminary review and validation of modeling data received in MOD & BCDB, working on updating established guides and procedures.
Assisting PSMM-MAS team to automate case building, maintenance scripts using JAVA, Python.

Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with power systems experience.

The position requires excellent analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to quickly respond to and resolve problems with all aspects of the communications computer systems, application software, user interface and data communications.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment, and to complete tasks independently.

Ability to work under demanding time constraints.

Desired Experience:
Power System Engineering experience (direct modeling experience in PSS/E is preferred), Proficiency with PSS/E Power Flow and Dynamics
Experience with Python programming, ASPEN/Short Circuit data
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
