Job Title: Senior System Engineer (Azure/Intune)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Microsoft Intune to join our dynamic team in Suffolk, VA. This is a hybrid role, requiring both on-site presence and remote work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management:

    • Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise-level applications and services.
    • Implement best practices for Azure security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
    • Monitor and optimize Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Microsoft Intune Administration:

    • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
    • Develop and enforce policies for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune and end-user devices.
  • System Engineering:

    • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems and networks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new technologies.
    • Provide advanced technical support and resolve escalated issues.
  • Security & Compliance:

    • Ensure systems and applications adhere to government security standards and policies.
    • Perform regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.
    • Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.
  • Documentation & Training:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
    • Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Active Secret clearance.
    • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 5+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
    • Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is a big plus.
    • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and virtualization technologies.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred:

    • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
    • Experience with other Microsoft 365 services and tools.
    • Familiarity with government and DoD IT environments.
