As an International Logistics Analyst, you will have responsibility for supporting PPG ocean import and export ocean and inland operations. You will develop drayage network operations standard procedures and alignments across PPG’s business units. Your role will provide analytical, technical, and operational support to enable maximum efficiency and timely supply chain performance for the SBUs for their international transportation!

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with ocean carriers and freight forwarders to ensure capacity needs are met.
  • Assist in timely execution of international shipments.
  • Implement alignments between import and export shipments for the re-use of inbound containers.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, drayage carriers, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and customer service to identify upcoming inbound deliveries and export bookings.
  • Create and maintain standard work and standard operating procedures for international logistics operations.
  • Develop relationships with carriers, ports, and terminals to improve service and capacity.
  • Special projects related to international shipping
  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on drayage.
  • Monitor equipment availability at major ports and inland terminals.
  • Support procurement activities involving carrier and third party selection.
  • Develop and report KPIs
  • Liaison with internal SBUs on issues related to international logistics.
  • Initiate and develop logistics evaluations and reports that provide guidance to the SBUs and outline specific operational requirements in the movement of goods.
  • Project work includes developing processes that demonstrate an improvement of current supply chain practices and implementation of these new processes.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, business, or equivalent and 3 - 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
