THE ROLE

OLIPOP is searching for a Director of Shopper Insights to join our team to drive strategic decisions by uncovering actionable shopper behavior insights that enhance and steer category strategies. You will lead initiatives to gather, analyze, and interpret shopper data through both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and product development, you will ensure that shopper/consumer insights are integrated seamlessly to drive growth and competitive advantage.

This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of shopper behavior, enabling you to deliver impactful insights that shape the future of the category and OLIPOP in the marketplace. Responsibilities

  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze shopper behavior, preferences, and trends.
  • Develop and execute OLIPOP’s shopper learning plan/roadmap (path to purchase, consumer decision tree, etc)
  • Generate actionable insights from shopper data to inform marketing, product development, and sales strategies.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and consumer demographics.
  • Develop and refine shopper/consumer segmentation models based on behavior, demographics, and psychographics to target key consumer groups effectively.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market innovations to anticipate consumer needs and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations and reports that communicate actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead shopper insights projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met effectively.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in market research, shopper insights, or consumer behavior analysis within the CPG industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of market research fundamentals including primary & secondary consumer/shopper research and syndicated research.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including survey design, data analysis, and statistical techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of retailer relationships and category management principles.
  • Proven track record of generating actionable insights that have driven business growth.
  • Experience working with Numerator, 84.51, SPINS, Nielsen, other syndicated, retailer and insights platforms.
  • Deeply passionate about Olipop, and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
  • Obsession for understanding customer behavior. Lives, breathes and dreams about how to better reach & understand our consumers.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
  • Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.

Compensation

$140,000-$150,000 base salary + bonus
