Description

Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure that hosts mission systems, applications, services, and data in support of DoD Services and Agencies. Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and DevSecOps principles to provide common services and facilitate cloud application migrations to IL-4, IL-5, and AWS and Azure cloud environments.

This is a remote job that can be worked anywhere within the US.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design, analyze, plan, modify and implement cloud based Multiple Level Security (MLS) networking and automated environment components supporting data and other communication activities.
  • Direct the utilization and implementation of advanced virtualization technologies to support the migration of critical Data Transport capabilities from existing legacy infrastructure to cloud environments.
  • May conduct network, cluster or other architecture design, feasibility and configuration analysis in support of the above activities.
  • Provide specifications and detailed CDS architecture documentation to support all environments extant to Data Transport for Cloud One. This may include information related to hardware/software selections, as well as tools recommended for efficiency and security to meet technical delivery needs.
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of virtualization and related cloud offerings which may maximize cloud solution technologies for Data Transport.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

This work is typically categorized as specialized cybersecurity functions, including red-teaming and ethical hacking; cloud security architecture; digital forensics; reverse engineering of malware; enterprise cyber architecture; consultative; and other high-level, specialized, and other advanced, specialized, and/or highly independent functions not typically covered in other job sub-families.

Provide guidance and supervision on Lab-Based Security Assessment (LBSA) and NCDSMO Raise The Bar (RTB) assessment of Cross Domain and Secure Information Communication/Transmission solutions for commercial and govt entities.

Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection (including SLA authorship, development, assessment), implements application and data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient and simple solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity and security requirements. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, electronic data traffic, and network access. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy. Utilizes COTS/GOTS and custom tools in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions of physical security and cybersecurity systems, processes, policies, etc.

Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum cyberspace operations. Writes reports specifying in technical detail how assessments were performed and what mitigating and remediating activities were performed. Translates and/or authors technical documentation in a way which is easily understood, in layman's terms, the work being performed, and the outcome of the work being performed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Homeland Security, Behavioral Analysis, Digital Forensic Analysis or similar and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience.
  • Expert knowledge of NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework, NSA NCDSMO Raise the Bar (RTB) and Lab-Based Security Assessment (LBSA) processes.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:
  • Must possess DOD 8570.1 IAT Level II/III Certification (e.g. ISC2 CISSP or CCSP, COMPTIA Security+CE), or CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification (e.g. EC Council CEH, CHFI) or equivalent.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
