PayRate range: $66.70 USD/hr to $80 USD/hr
Location: 100% Remote (On-site for first 2 weeks in Anchorage, AK, US)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support a 100% remote contract opportunity with the a leading Health Consortium. The role will begin with two weeks of on-site orientation in Anchorage, AK, followed by fully remote work. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical network infrastructure projects while supporting healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Nexus Switch Configuration and Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot Nexus switches to ensure seamless network performance.
Firewall Configuration: Work with Palo Alto or Firepower firewalls to manage and troubleshoot firewall configurations.
Wireless Network Management: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless Controllers and handle 802.11 wireless issues.
Cisco Spaces: Familiarity with Cisco Spaces for managing wireless environments.
Router & Switch Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches and ensure network reliability.
Cisco DNA: Experience working with Cisco DNA for network automation and assurance.
VPN Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve VPN connectivity issues.
PCAP & Log Analysis: Conduct packet captures and analyze logs for network performance and security.
Problem Resolution: Utilize Cherwell to handle open tickets related to network issues and projects.
Be available to work within the 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Alaska time frame and provide support during night or weekend project times if needed.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Cisco Collaboration: Experience with Cisco Webex/Call Manager or Cisco Collaboration products.
Cisco Umbrella: Configuration and troubleshooting experience with Cisco Umbrella.
SD-WAN & Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of SD-WAN configuration, Cisco ThousandEyes, and cloud infrastructure (IaaS).
Linux Administration: Basic knowledge of Linux for managing network systems.
Viptela (Cisco SD-WAN): Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
Requirements:
Work Authorization: Must be a US citizen, Green card holder, or Green card-EAD.
On-Site Orientation: Ability to be on-site in Anchorage, AK for the first two weeks.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Contract Duration: 6 months (expected).
Hours per Week: 40 hours.
