Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information
- Research and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Monitor project budgets and adjust estimates as needed during project execution
- Assist in risk assessment by identifying potential cost overruns and proposing mitigation strategies
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the industrial construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction processes and estimating methods
- Proficient in estimating software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in cement, industrial construction, and concrete estimating is a plus
