Utilizing advanced methodologies and proprietary in-house tools, BakerRisk engineers assess the consequences and risks associated with potentially catastrophic events including explosions, fires, and toxic material releases.

BakerRisk is seeking a full-time HR Administrative Assistant in our corporate office. This is an entry level on-site position. The HR Administrative Assistant will provide support to a full range of administrative support for the HR Department. This includes effectively performing a variety of administrative tasks in order to achieve a specified objective. Performs duties within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Processes prospective / new hire paperwork and related documentation to include drug screening and background checks.
  • Processes employee termination paperwork and schedules exit interviews.
  • Assists with updating organization charts, promotion paperwork and inter-company transfers.
  • Assists with responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and other HR-related matters.
  • Assists with managing the department mailbox.
  • Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding process to ensure a smooth and welcome transition for the new employee.
  • Assists as an employee liaison regarding benefits.
  • Assists with updates and maintenance data for employee benefit plans.
  • Assists with open enrollment and setup of new benefits as needed.
  • Assists with set up and maintenance of electronic personnel files and ensures data is compliant and appropriate record keeping is maintained, to include benefit information and vendor files.
  • Assists with compliance of client contracts to include background check process, drug screening process.
  • Assists with Employment Verification from outside companies.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Adobe, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
  • Proficient or ability to quickly learn HRIS database programs (ADP & Clear Co.).
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role or customer service position
  • Previous experience in coordinating and presenting new hire presentations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
