Responsibilities
The Worker(s) will provide the following services:
- An experienced skilled programmer with strong proficiency in Natural programming language.
- Must have extensive, proven experience as Natural developer and an in-depth understanding of mainframe systems.
- The candidate will provide support for development, architecture, and overall administration for projects and for mainframe operations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Design, develop and maintain Mainframe Natural program and JCL to meet project and operations.
- Be part of project and operations teams to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way.
- Adhere to change control processes and procedures defined by agency.
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand business needs and translate requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Together with application users, identity the possibility of the automation of existing manual processes through the data integration of mainframe and external (non-mainframe) systems.
- Work with IT support teams to ensure support and project requirements are developed and implement successfully.
- Develop and execute unit test and system test plans to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
- Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle.
- Develop or assist-in developing test plans and test activities and/or execute test components to ensure new programs meet business requirements and function as needed.
- Review and assist in reviewing documentation and performing quality assurance to ensure compliance with program requirements and procedural standards for the assigned project.
- Maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule. Worker may be requested to work outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete urgent assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.
