The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
- Managing, training and mentoring the QA Manager, QA Supervisor and the other QA department employees
- Being responsible for anything related to quality
- Interacting with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) employees
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP and all internal and external food safety regulations
- Creating, implementing and maintaining the Safe Quality Food (SQF) code
- Supporting new product development and marketing
- A four-year food-related degree
- Five years of experience as a Quality Assurance Director or Manager at a food processing plant
- Five years of experience working with USDA regulations
- Five years of experience with HACCP, USDA and Safe Quality Food (SQF) program regulations
- A solid work history
- A US citizen or possess a green card
- A residence within 45 minutes
