DataStaff, Inc. is in need of a Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Suffolk, VA
*This position is hybrid; 3 days per week are on site.
*Travel required
The Field Technology Services team is seeking someone with strong technical skills to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and update software, hardware, and networking as necessary to support the client s education, programs, & operations efforts for multiple sites and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical advice, guidance, and implementation of complex work items involving educational and Operations software products such as AZTEC, Lexis Nexis, GED Academy, Auto CAD, Teknimedia, Alexandria, Elevate and similar software packages.
- Provides technical support of complex work problems involving computer technology to include workstation and server hardware, software and operating systems, networking hardware, software and infrastructure, and various operating systems software.
- Independently installing, updating and management of applications and hardware at the assigned facilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Work experience in the computer support field.
- A combination of desktop, server & network support is required within a fast-paced, delivery oriented agile environment.
- Must be able to perform with minimal direct supervision and may be required to use their home as a base of operation.
- Significant travel (usually day trips) may be required.
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Windows operating systems such as Win10, Server 2016/2019/2022.
- 5 Years - Independently installing, updating, and managing networks
- 5 Years - Troubleshooting and resolving issues in various operating systems and application software in a LAN / standalone environment.
- 5 Years - Imaging Computers
- 5 Years - Securing Networks and Endpoints
- 5 Years - Building, Deploying, and Maintaining Server
