Position Description:

ROLE This position is ideal for the multi-faceted individual who has the most technical experience on the team to function as a Tech Anchor for a team of Software Engineers; Various experience in the areas of System and Software Engineering as well as installing, configuring, supporting hardware and system/application software and product integration. In this role, you will serve as the "Technical Lead" assisting in providing technical leadership through technical direction and support. Role will be to closely assist multiple organizations (Business Customers, Product Owners, GDIA, IT) with the conversion of business goals into product requirements and developing solutions. POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES DESIGN: Design cloud solutions, Hadoop applications. Work with Architects on solutions and the architecture/design of the Product, Provide feedback and recommendations on presented products. TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP: Guide/mentor Software Engineers with the development of solutions as well as lead in the resolution of technical issues. PRODUCT AND REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT: Participate in and/or lead development of requirements, PEM-ISA, user story development, use cases, and test cases. Participate in stand-up operations meetings. MANAGE: Lead and Support Integration Projects, Oversee the work of system engineers and Discuss status w/ executives. PROVISION: Work with IT Operations (ITO), IT Engineering, Asset Planning Lifecycle Management (APLM) and GDIA Business Customers in the acquisition, provisioning, installation, configuration and testing of hardware/software. MIGRATE/ADOPT: Work with GDIA business customers in migration from old tools/platforms to new and/or adoption of new tools. INCIDENT, PROBLEM AND CHANGE/SERVICE REQUESTS: Participate and/or lead incident, problem, change and service request related activities. Includes root cause analysis (RCA). Includes proactive problem management / defect prevention activities.

Skills Required:

MUST HAVE SKILLS: Minimum 3 years designing cloud solutions, Hadoop applications System Integration Capabilities Programming, Installation and Software Development Skills Cloud computing experience (e.g.; Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, PCF/PKS) Minimum 2 years professional experience installing, configuring, monitoring and tuning infrastructure tools Minimum 5 years professional experience with Python and/or R software development (Anaconda experience preferred) Strong communication, and organizational and coordination skills as well as experience coordinating activities across multiple diverse teams

Skills Preferred:

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: L2/L3 Support Experience System design experience Product Management Skills Ability to perform root cause analysis Knowledge of Various Software and Applications Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems Understanding of the technology related to supported products Business Analyst / requirements definition / use case definition experience Knowledge of Ford IT Policies and the processes and Ford IT Infrastructures and Technologies Experience with analytics tools, including Informatica, Alteryx, QlikView, Tableau, Hadoop, Attunity
