Azure DevOps CI CD Engineer

We have been retained by our excellent client hiring in Houston to deliver two (2) DevOps Engineers on a contract basis that can result in a direct hire offer with benefits in the top 10% of all USA companies. These DevOps Engineers must have Azure DevOps experience, other clouds experience helps. We are seeking the right technical knowledge, and a motivated candidate, open to onsite work M-F, who has excellent abilities in implementing various Azure DevOps practices, DevOps frameworks, DevOps platforms and DevOps tools to help build and support our client s design of pipelines for continuous integration, continuous deployment, CI/CD, continuous testing, for application deployments, infrastructure automation, and provisioning of infrastructure. Keeping focus upon the overall goals of scalability and reliability of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines used to push our client s applications into production and run without error.

Job Description:

• Design and implement deployments, provision infrastructure, and integrate workflows; ensure stability, ensure configurations are proper and secure, and find any areas for improvement, and share that improvement idea on the next 8:30 am scrum.


• Build and maintain tools and solutions associated with deployments of the DevOps platform.


• Update and design new processes to optimize performance of continuous integration, continuous deployment, CI/CD and continuous testing pipelines.


• Work with the team to discuss and aid in the design of the best practices to increase security by integrating security controls into our client s continuous integration, continuous deployment, CI/CD and continuous testing pipelines. Work with team to establish DevOps best practices and document DevOps processes, procedures and workflows to maintain consistency. Work with stakeholders to improve the process of break/fix, system incidents and Disaster Recovery (DR).


• Prepare environments for development team, testing team, user acceptance testing teams, to increase performance, scalability and reliability analysis, and ensure that environments are stable, development environment mimicking the production environment well so that development and QA teams are ready to use.


• Support DevOps monitoring tools for application and infrastructure stability, reliability and security with automated analysis, problem detection and alert generation.


• Actively troubleshoot any system failures or system issues that arise and work with development teams to effectively, efficiently and quickly correct the error.

Requirements:

• 3+ years work experience in information technology, including 2+ years Azure DevOps CI CD pipeline design and build experience, release management practices for enterprise teams. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, highly desired, but bachelors is not required.
  
  


• Experience applying DevOps and CI/CD pipeline design concepts to building CI/CD pipelines with source control such as (all of these are not required but desirable) GIT and Azure DevOps/TFS, Docker, Kubernetes, ServiceMesh, API Gateway and Proxy Server, encryption, SSL/TLS, OpenSSL, Private key, Public key and secret management, application and system profiling/monitoring tools and techniques, scaling and optimization techniques. Agile development practices, Scrum/Kanban or SaFE Agile. Experience planning, implementing and maintaining deployment processes for large enterprise multi-tier distributed applications, including experience with IIS, messaging systems and databases. Strong general IT application and networking knowledge, including load balancing, networking, Microsoft Active Directory, messaging middleware and virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere. Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational database management system, database configuration, administration, backups and recovery of databases, are helpful.
  
  


• Excellent verbal (spoken) & written communication with the English language. Must have a strong grasp on spoken English communication. Must be fluent with English.

M-F, 40 hours per week, onsite Houston client offices. This is a Houston-based in-office position.





Hourly Rate: $65.62 to $75.62 USD w-2 employment
