Job Description:

Shadowing and Documentation:

• Shadow the Specialist: Work closely with the retiring PeopleSoft ERP specialist to understand and document his daily tasks, processes, and responsibilities. This includes tasks related to PeopleSoft ERP, SQL data management, SAP Commerce Cloud, and L2 support activities.
• Process Documentation: Create detailed SOPs, process maps, and flowcharts that capture the specialist s processes, making them repeatable and easy to follow for future technical staff.
• Data Management Documentation: Document SQL procedures for exporting and importing data between PeopleSoft ERP and other eCommerce systems. Ensure all SQL scripts, data workflows, and related processes are accurately captured.
• Troubleshooting Guides: Develop troubleshooting guides and manuals for analyzing customer accounts, product availability groups, customer catalogs, and other tasks related to PeopleSoft and SAP Commerce Cloud.

Content Creation and Management:

• Create Training Materials: Develop comprehensive training materials, including step-by-step guides, tutorials, and reference materials that will be used to train other technical staff or offshore developers.
• Version Control & Updates: Manage version control of all documentation, ensuring that all documents are up-to-date, easily accessible, and comply with company standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT managers, technical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that the documentation meets the organization's needs and is aligned with best practices.

Technical Proficiency:

• SQL Knowledge: Utilize your understanding of SQL to document data management processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) procedures.
• ERP Systems Understanding: Leverage your knowledge of ERP systems, particularly PeopleSoft, to accurately document system configurations, customizations, and integrations with other systems such as SAP Commerce Cloud.
• Technical Clarity: Translate complex technical terms and processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that non-technical users can easily understand.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor s Degree: A degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience Requirements:

• Technical Writing Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical writing role, with a focus on ERP systems, SQL, and IT operations.
• ERP Systems: Proven experience working with PeopleSoft ERP, SAP Commerce Cloud, or similar systems.
• SQL Proficiency: Strong understanding of SQL, with experience in documenting SQL queries, data workflows, and related processes.

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Documentation: Demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including SOPs, process maps, and training materials.
• Process Mapping: Experience in creating detailed process maps and flowcharts that capture technical processes and workflows.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex technical tasks into manageable and understandable components.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and meets organizational standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in IT Management: Familiarity with IT management practices and the ability to document IT-related processes and troubleshooting guides.
• Knowledge of eCommerce Systems: Understanding of eCommerce systems and their integration with ERP platforms, particularly SAP Commerce Cloud.
