What We Are Looking For:

Aspida is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Data Intern to support our data-driven decision-making processes. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into valuable insights that influence business outcomes. Working cross-functionally with teams across Aspida, you will help identify business needs, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings to diverse audiences. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.

What You Will Do:

• Use SQL and R to query, analyze, and present data solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define data requirements and gain a deep understanding of business challenges.
• Apply ETL processes to transform raw data into meaningful insights, effectively communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist in measuring and tracking KPIs to evaluate business performance.
• Work closely with Aspida s actuarial team, preparing and optimizing raw data for key workflows and analyses.

What We Require:

• Working knowledge of SQL or R. Power BI and database experience is a plus.
• Interest in the insurance or annuities domain is preferred.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor s degree in computer science, actuarial science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish professional relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
