Anchor Talent has partnered with a mid-sized Engineering firm who is growing and expanding operations in the San Antonio area. As the lead Engineer, you will oversee small to mid-size mechanical design to include HVAC and plumbing. Design projects will target commercial properties to include medical, schools, retail, industrial and government/municipal structures.

Systems and designs will include water systems, boiler systems, VAV systems, colling towers and industrial process cooling, exhaust (fume) system, HVAC, dust collection systems, ground and water source pumps.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and track project budgets

Oversee scheduling, timelines and review all construction/project documents

Prepare and present cost estimates, specifications and design analysis for new and existing projects

Act as the SME for various system applications and installs on multiple projects simultaneously

Identify and address areas of conflict construction documentation, room or structure concerns and system errors or issues

Design mechanical and plumbing systems

Design heating, ventilating and AC unit installs as well as underground steam, gas and compressed-air utilities

Design constant and variable volume ductwork systems

Balance and maintain workload of various and multiple projects

Attend and conduct client meetings while representing the interests of the firm

Analyze and perform space planning and future planning or mechanical rooms and structures

General construction administrative duties Review and analyze all data and documents

Requirements

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of licensed mechanical designing experience focused on commercial spaces

PE License Texas

System experience: AutoCAD, 3D, Revit
