The Role: We are seeking a Media Planner / Buyer with 2+ years of experience in traditional and digital media buying. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with Strata or similar media buying platforms, strong negotiation skills, and experience with RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes. Experience with digital platforms such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) is a plus. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of media planning and buying, from strategy through execution and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, negotiate, and buy media across traditional and digital channels, including TV, radio, digital, and OOH
  • Use Strata (or similar platform) to create, execute, and manage media buys.
  • Lead RFP and RFQ processes, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to gather proposals and secure competitive rates.
  • Negotiate rates and secure premium placements across media platforms, ensuring maximum value for clients.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend media strategies that align with client objectives and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners to secure optimal placements and rates.
  • Monitor, optimize, and report on campaign performance, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep campaigns at the forefront of media innovation.
  • Work cross-functionally to support integrated media strategies across multiple channels.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in media planning and buying, with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital channels.
  • Proficiency with Strata or similar media buying platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure optimal media rates and placements.
  • Experience leading RFP and RFQ processes with media vendors.
  • Experience with digital media platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and other programmatic platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of emerging media trends and technologies.
