Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled CAD Programmer to join our CAD/CAM team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and functionality of designs, while adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings based on project requirements and specifications.
- Modify and refine designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret design concepts and determine requirements for drafting projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications in all drafted designs.
- Maintain and update CAD files as revisions to design drawings are made.
- Assist in the review and implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs) and redline revisions.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling techniques.
- Experience in drafting mechanical or electrical designs preferred.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in CAD drafting or related field preferred.
