Who We re Looking For:

Our client is seeking a System Analyst 6 to provide advanced technical support for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in system administration for Windows and Linux environments, cloud infrastructure, and security compliance. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work with vendors, customers, and technical teams, and the ability to manage complex projects and system changes. The candidate should also have a strong knowledge of SSO technologies and network architectures.

*** NOTE: This hybrid position is based in Lansing, MI, requiring onsite presence on Mondays and Tuesdays. Local and non-local candidates may apply. ***

Responsibilities:

Administer Windows Server (2016 and later) and Linux (RHEL 7.0+).
Support cloud infrastructure services, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Configure and manage application servers such as Tomcat and IIS.
Perform database management using MS SQL Management Studio.
Monitor and troubleshoot systems using Dynatrace or similar debugging tools.
Write scripts for automation and system management using PowerShell.
Gather and document technical requirements, analyze solutions, and present recommendations.
Ensure systems comply with Federal, State, and industry security standards, with a focus on SSO technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
Collaborate with network teams on LAN/WAN architecture, firewalls, and IOT integrations.
Create and maintain system and network architecture diagrams using Visio.
Apply patches and remediation for application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with Windows Server administration (2016 and later).
5+ years of experience with RHEL 7.0 and above.
Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience with Tomcat and IIS for application server configuration.
Proficient with MS SQL Management Studio for database support.
Familiarity with Dynatrace or similar performance monitoring and debugging tools.
Strong scripting skills using PowerShell.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Visio.
Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, firewalls, architecture, and IOT.
Clear and concise communication skills.
