Work Hours
Most of our internships are full-time, 40 hours a week, starting at the end of spring semester and ending the beginning of fall semester.
We also offer the ability to continue on as a part-time, year-round intern that can be flexible to accommodate your class schedule.
All internships are paid and many of them can result in full-time jobs down the road, based on performance.

- Brame Energy Center in Lena, LA
- New Iberia Service Center in New Iberia, LA
- St. Tammany Service Center in Mandeville, LA
- Slidell Service Center in Slidell, LA
Intern responsibilities can vary based on the specific role and ongoing projects but can include:
- Conducting research and on emerging technologies and practices in the utility industry to support vision and purpose
- Participating in training (OSHA/Energy Wheel/Cybersecurity/Plant Safety)
- Regulatory compliance
- Using engineering software for design, modeling, or analysis
- Collaborating with engineers from transmission, distribution, and generation to understand ongoing projects and gain business insight
- Analyzing data related to system performance, outage reports, or load forecasts
- Writing reports, maintaining logs, and preparing presentations for stakeholders
- Assisting in community outreach regarding clean energy projects or utility services
Required Education, Skills & Experience
- Must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Must be in 3rd or 4th year of college program or enrolled in an advanced degree program
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 0.00-4.00 scale)
