  • We are seeking a highly skilled Storage and Backup Engineer with deep expertise in managing both SAN and NAS storage environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and performance of PowerMax, VMAX, Isilon, VNX, and Unity storage systems. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, problem resolution, and managing data migrations using tools like SRDF. Secondary expertise in backup technologies like Networker and PPDM is required, along with a willingness to gain experience or demonstrate knowledge in ECS.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage SAN Systems: Oversee enterprise SAN storage systems, focusing on PowerMax and VMAX to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Administer NAS Systems: Handle NAS environments, including Isilon, VNX, and Unity, ensuring optimal operation and maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Perform advanced troubleshooting for both storage and backup systems to address any issues efficiently.
  • Monitoring & Management: Utilize ViPR SRM to monitor and manage the storage infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Data Migrations: Execute migrations using tools such as SRDF, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
  • Backup Systems Support: Provide secondary support for backup and recovery solutions, with a focus on Networker and PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM).
  • ECS & PPDM Knowledge: Gain or demonstrate proficiency in ECS or PPDM for enhancing data protection solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and optimization of storage and backup environments.
Required Qualifications:
