Client Location: New Jersey

Work Location: Remote (must work on EST time zone)

Job Type: Full Time Employment with Prime Implementer (not with End-client)

Purpose of the Position:

This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing reporting and analytic solutions using Power BI, with Snowflake serving as the foundational data warehousing platform. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into actionable insights that facilitate data-driven decision-making. Will be responsible for ensuring that data is effectively modelled, easily accessible, and presented in a way that aligns with our clients' business needs.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize existing reports and dashboards for enhanced performance and user experience.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Stay informed about Power BI features and best practices to deliver cutting-edge reporting solutions.
• Provide production support for existing reports and dashboards, troubleshooting any issues related to reporting solutions.
• Document development processes, including metadata, data models, and report design specifications.

Must-Have Skills:

• Should have good proficiency in Power BI development projects, Snowflake along SQL, DAX, Power BI Report builder
• Should be able to design and implement data models to support reporting and analytics, including the creation of semantic models
• Should be able to develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot data discrepancy issues
• Should be able to develop and maintain semantic models to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions, give recommendations.
• Ensure the performance optimization and scalability of Power BI solutions
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members
• MicroStrategy to Power BI migration experience highly desired
• Retail domain knowledge is a huge plus
• Experience of working with Agile
• BE Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or other technical disciplines..
