Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will support internal reporting, analyses, and development of budget/forecasting models for operations. The successful analyst will quickly develop a firm grasp of the income statements of company owned as well as Franchise locations and provide insights that drive improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements
Proactively identify variances to budget and/or forecasts and seek to understand the causes
Accurately forecast sales and expenses in a multi-unit environment utilizing large data sets
Support and maintain the retail labor model to drive efficiency
Participate in the annual retail budgeting process, update retail operations forecasts monthly
Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data, identifies root causes of data issues, escalates discrepancies, fixes data where possible, and partners to deliver a solution
Qualifications
2-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, with preference given to experience in a retail environment
Experience in finance, Accounting, or related field required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Expert Excel skills; extensive experience building financial models and analyzing large data sets; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and PowerPoint skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
