Technical Writer

Responsibilities:

• Documentation creation: Develop and maintain documents, including user manuals, product guides, and API documentation, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and user-friendly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, such as engineers and developers, to gather and interpret complex technical information.
• Content structuring: Organize and present information in a logical and coherent manner, making it accessible to both business, technical and non-technical audiences.
• Editing and proofreading: Review and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy, adhering to company style guides and standards.
• User-centered content: Focus on creating content that meets the needs of end-users, making technical information easy to understand and use.
• Tool proficiency: Utilize various documentation tools and platforms to create, manage, and publish content.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Cisco ISE Engineer creating design documentation, building ISE rules, implementing ISE solutions across a variety of environments, and be a subject matter expert on the ISE application
• Demonstrated experience providing ISE policy management and control platforms for wired, wireless, and VPN users
• Proficiency in developing API calls, scripting, and coding using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Knowledge of network security protocols (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1x)
• Ability to analyze complex problems associated with the ISE platform and implement solutions and/or workarounds to comply with network security policies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a track record as a problem solver & an effective team player is essential
• Be the escalation point for resolution of Cisco ISE integration issues
• Any experience with Meraki wireless infrastructure including the associated cloud controllers, access points, and portal would be an advantage

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience of 3+ years as a technical writer or in a similar role.
2. Ability to understand business, functional, technical concepts and the ability to explain them in simple terms.
3. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple product simultaneously.
4. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and developers.
6. Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence or Microsoft Word

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
