Description of Duties:
The Junior Configuration Management Analyst supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Implement and maintain the STaRS CM program in accordance with the EIA-649C Industry Standard for Configuration Management.
Experience auditing the implementation of the five CM functions/Pillars across STaRS, to include:
o CM Planning and Management (CMP&M)
o Configuration Identification
o Configuration Change Management (CCM)
o Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
o Configuration Verification and Audit (CV&A)
Prepare baseline documentation for review and place under positive CM control.
Assist with development of CM metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement on the CM program.
Assist in the development and implementation of organizational CM and CCM plans, policies, and procedures to ensure proper CM rigor.
Identify challenges, create strategies, metrics and courses of action and execute them for a more mature and robust CM program.
Coordinate change requests in accordance with the configuration and change management process.
Effectively manage tasks and timelines with the ability to deliver quality results on schedule.
Identify recommendations with CM process improvement efforts while assisting in execution of process improvement.
The successful candidate will:
Have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
Have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
Display positive team working skills and the ability to coordinate meetings and working groups

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree, or higher, and 0 years of general experience
Must have 2 years of directly related experience
Must have successfully completed a Configuration Management internship supporting the IRES contract
Must be proficient in MS Office suites
Must be proficient with BMC Remedy Suite
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Requirements:
Have experience with Enterprise IT Service Management and/or Change Management
Have experience with MDA, Space Domain, and/or IT Operations
Have experience with Engineering and Technical Review Boards and Change Approval Boards
Be familiar with EIA-649C Configuration Management Standards
Have experience with drafting and reviewing plans, procedures, work instructions
Have experience with working on Hardware Asset Management, Lifecycle Management (cradle to grave)
This position is expected to pay $46,000 - $71,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
