  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Modeler to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing Erwin Workgroup Edition, migrate data models from IBM IDA to Erwin, and mentor data modelers.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling Expertise: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard tools such as Erwin and IBM Infosphere Data Architect.
  • Data Migration: Lead and execute data model migration projects, including assessing existing models, mapping data elements, and ensuring a smooth transition to new structures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, ETL developers, and other IT teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and translate them into effective data models.
  • Best Practices: Adhere to data modeling best practices, standards, and naming conventions to ensure consistency and maintainability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive data model documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize data models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate strong proficiency in data modeling tools (Erwin, IBM Infosphere Data Architect), database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), and CICD pipelines.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers.
  • Erwin Workgroup Administration: Install, configure, and maintain the Erwin Workgroup Edition environment, including user management, security, and backups.
  • GitHub Integration: Integrate Erwin Workgroup Edition with GitHub for version control, collaboration, and change management of data models.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: 7+ years of proven experience as a Data Modeler with a strong understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling.
  • Tool Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Erwin Data Modeler and IBM Infosphere Data Architect.
  • Migration Experience: Hands-on experience in migrating data models between different tools and platforms, specifically to Erwin.
  • CICD Knowledge: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) principles and tools.
  • Database Technologies: Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or similar.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Erwin Workgroup Edition: Experience installing, configuring, and administering Erwin Workgroup Edition.
  • GitHub Integration: Proven ability to integrate Erwin data models with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
