Job Summary
This role will be responsible for developing reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Simulation-based products that evaluate the Bear’s robotics software stack at a massive scale. It will include solving complex technical challenges to build services and tools for a broad range of customers – Software Engineers, Product, System Engineering, and more, so cross-team collaboration and an interest in learning new things are core parts of your role as an engineer here.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Build and evolve a large scale simulation infrastructure.
- Be responsible for reliability, latency and cost-effectiveness of simulations.
- Optimize performance of simulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- None.
- Experience using C++ and Python
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
- Past experience with ROS, or understanding of fundamental usage
- Experience in simulating Autonomous systems, Robotics, or other highly complex systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles.
- Experience with containerization and virtualization environments.
- Previous experience in startups or fast-paced engineering teams.
- Master’s degree or PhD in CS or related field.
- Bachelors in CS or related field
- 2+ years industry experience
