Job Title: Software Engineer - Simulation

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for developing reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Simulation-based products that evaluate the Bear’s robotics software stack at a massive scale. It will include solving complex technical challenges to build services and tools for a broad range of customers – Software Engineers, Product, System Engineering, and more, so cross-team collaboration and an interest in learning new things are core parts of your role as an engineer here.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve a large scale simulation infrastructure.
  • Be responsible for reliability, latency and cost-effectiveness of simulations.
  • Optimize performance of simulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

  • Experience using C++ and Python
  • Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
  • Past experience with ROS, or understanding of fundamental usage

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

  • Experience in simulating Autonomous systems, Robotics, or other highly complex systems.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles.
  • Experience with containerization and virtualization environments.
  • Previous experience in startups or fast-paced engineering teams.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in CS or related field.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors in CS or related field
  • 2+ years industry experience

The pay range for this position is $130K-$146K. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
