Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled BI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions. As a BI Architect, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the BI architecture, including data modeling, reporting, and analytics infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and actionable for business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, BI tools, and cloud platforms, with a focus on driving business insights and performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust BI architectures that support reporting, analytics, and data visualization needs across the organization.
- Lead the implementation of BI solutions on platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build and optimize data models and data marts to enable efficient querying and reporting.
- Define and implement best practices for data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration from various sources.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to design data flows and pipelines using ETL/ELT tools.
- Drive the adoption of cloud-based BI solutions, including leveraging services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) for data storage and analytics.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data used in reporting and analytics by establishing data governance standards and processes.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for real-time business monitoring and strategic planning.
- Lead efforts to optimize BI environments for performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the BI team, ensuring the successful delivery of BI projects.
- Stay up to date with the latest BI trends and technologies and recommend new tools and techniques to improve the BI architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- 11+ years of experience in BI architecture, data warehousing, and analytics.
- Strong experience with BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Expertise in SQL and database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud-based data and BI services, including AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, or similar.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for advanced analytics and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git for managing BI deployments.
- Certifications in BI tools or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, or Tableau/Power BI certifications).
- Strong understanding of business processes in industries such as finance, retail, healthcare, or manufacturing.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master s degree is a plus.
